Inspired by the short story 'The music on the hill' by Saki. I've submitted a few pieces now based upon his short stories as it's a project I'm currently working on.
This story, or rather my interpretation of the story, focuses on the idea of "don't toy with things you don't understand". It's probably a phrase most mother's have said to their children, I know my mum did at least (usually about Ouija boards on halloween and the like). Anyway, a woman destroys offerings made to Pan as she doesn't believe in such nonsense and her husband warns her that it wouldn't be wise to do such things against Pan in his own country and right her husband was!
This is how I could picture Pan in this story, hidden amongst nature.
Enjoy! Thanks for viewing.
